How to measure yourself for a perfect fit
Ordering custom leatherwear online? We’ve got you covered. Follow this simple guide to ensure your Artemis Leathers piece fits exactly as it should—whether it’s a corset, jerkin, skirt or accessory.
What You’ll Need:
A soft measuring tape (or string + ruler)
A mirror or friend to assist (optional, but helpful)
A notepad or phone to jot down your measurements
Measurements We Use:
Bust
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it snug but not tight. Keep the tape straight across your back.
Underbust
Wrap the tape directly under your bust all the way around, where your bra band would sit.
Waist
Find your natural waistline—usually the narrowest part of your torso, just above the belly button. Don’t suck in—stand naturally.
Hip
Measure around the fullest part of your hips and butt, usually about 7–9 inches below your waistline.
Shoulder Width
For jerkins or vests, measure from the tip of one shoulder to the other, across the back.
Torso Length (for corsets)
Measure from your underbust straight down to where you’d like the corset to end—often just above the hips.
Tips for Best Results:
Measure in inches unless otherwise specified.
Don’t pull the tape too tight—leather molds to your body, but your measurements should reflect comfort and movement.
Take your measurements more than once for accuracy.
