PRODUCT CARE
Artemis Leathers guarantees craftsmanship for life,
customers must maintain cleaning and conditioning of garments/pouches.
Shadia can alter garments to fit as she wants clients to enjoy them for life!
Charges for alterations vary.
Artemis Leathers utilizes only the finest quality “naked finish” leathers, which allows garments to be hand washable. This finish allows natural blemishes and scars to show with the beauty of the grain, exemplifying the special characteristics of each hide. No heavy aniline or other chemical finishes are used in the process, therefore cracking or peeling do not occur.
TOP GRAIN CARE INSTRUCTIONS
~ Always ensure your leather is soft and supple! Clean top grain using yellow saddle soap
(white saddle soap can put a waxy finish that scuffs)
~ Apply smiling mink oil cream once or twice yearly.
Do not use Lexol or liquid mink oil on garment leathers as it can break down the fibers of softer leathers.
~ If garments become damp, hang inside out to dry. Fully air-dry leather before putting away.
Febreeze may be sprayed inside garments to eliminate perspiration odor.
SUEDE CARE INSTRUCTIONS
~ Suede should be brushed with a suede brush and spayed with aerosol mink oil to protect from sun and rain.
Metallics featured in several Modular Centers should only be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
After many years these pieces can be hand washed "like a fine sweater” using non-detergent soap. Rinse well, lay flat on towel to dry & flip garment over. When almost dry, hang to completely dry. The garment will feel a little stiff, mink oil to condition(only use mink oil-in a cream like smiling mink)
